I started working in 3d design and development software in 2005, cutting my teeth on Rhino. I continued developing my design skills with Sketchup, and in the last two years made the transition to DesignSpark Mechanical when I purchased my 3D Printer and needed a more engineering friendly tool. All designs are available on my GitHub page under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 .
If necessity is the mother of invention, then my necessity was preventing damage of my portable synthesizer. I've seen very few option for a price conscious hard case for an OP-1, so I decided to break out my calipers, create an accurate model of my instrument, and then design a case around it.
